Pune, 30th September 2024 — As part of Poshan Maah (Nutrition Month) celebrations, the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) organized a felicitation ceremony to honor organizations contributing to the health and nutrition of local communities.
The Rising India Research Foundation was awarded for its dedicated efforts in advancing women's health and preventive care. One of the key highlights of their contribution was the breast cancer screening camp conducted specifically for Anganwadi workers at Deccan Pulachiwadi, aiming to ensure the well-being of those who serve at the grassroots of public health.
The event celebrated the collective efforts of Anganwadi workers, ASHA volunteers, healthcare professionals, and NGO partners, with activities including cooking competitions, nutrition awareness drives, and community health initiatives.
This recognition underscores Rising India’s continued commitment to bridging the gap between healthcare access and community engagement, especially for women working on the frontlines.
